Do you provide meals?

We provide two meals and two snacks per day: this includes breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. 

Can I send a packed lunch to school with my child?

No, we do not allow any outside food or drink in our center. This is to protect all of our students with pre-existing or potential food allergies. However, we can accommodate a vegetarian diet if needed and further we do not serve any beef or pork to our students.

Do you accept DFCS assistance?

Yes, we accept all state and federal childcare assistance programs. This is includes but is not limited to GA CAPS, Military Subsidy Programs and other subsidized child care. You can apply for the GA CAPS program online at www.compass.ga.gov.

What is your student to teacher ratio?

The student: teacher ration varies by class and age; however we do follow the Bright from the Start Guidelines as follows.

  6:1 – Infants less that 1 year old

  8:1 – 1 year olds

10:1 – 2 year olds

15:1 – 3 year olds

18:1 – 4 years old

20:1 – 5 years & older

What type of curriculum do you use?

We utilize the Creative Curriculum developed by Teaching Strategies, Inc. Through this curriculum our teachers are able to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program that promotes children's social-emotional development and learning in the core areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Are you open on holidays?

Our center will be closed only in observance of the following holidays, please note that full tuition will still be due for those weeks.

• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• Fourth of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day and the day after
• Christmas Day and the day after, depending on how the holiday falls during the week

What is your policy for emergency weather?

In the case of inclement weather, such as heavy snow or icy roads, we post our closings on the FOX 5 new & website. If Gwinnett County Schools are closed, please call us first to verify if we are open as we usually follow their closings. We will make every effort to open the center as early as possible. Please note that full tuition will still be due if the center is closed or opened late due to inclement weather.

Will you help my child with potty training / toilet training?

Yes. Once a child is developmentally ready to begin and shows interest we will start the process of toilet training. We feel that it takes a partnership between the staff, parents and children to have a successful, positive toilet training experience. Patience and positive support will be given to children and their parents as they go through this learning experience together.
